Spring weather at last and Baby G loves it!   Those eyes – gorgeous!

This is one happy baby girl!  Here’s to lots of sunny days and beautiful babies!

One of Jason’s favorite Lindsay “traits” – that red hair.  It was set off beautifully during our walk through the streets of Doylestown.

Jason professes he lives in casual gear, so does Lindsay.  But she pulled out the sassy for this.  And classy.  True.

Yes, we stopped traffic.  Well, the traffic of State Street on a Sunday evening.

Part 3…won’t be published, I promised.  And I am a man of my word…but it was great fun and I thank you.    The four of us ended the night starving, so headed to the Pineville Tavern to unwind, toast, and share a meal.  Perfect ending to a perfect day.  We can’t wait for the next episode:  prelude to the wedding, October 2012, at Fonthill in Doylestown.    Thanks Jason and Lindsay – love to you both.

Jason and Lindsay met in 2006, in Atlanta, Georgia.  All of her good friends took her out to celebrate her 24h birthday.  Arriving early, the place was relatively deserted…except for a group of guys.  Jason, was working in Atlanta, and a bunch of his friends from Bucks County were in town to visit.  As Lindsay tells it, in that still discernible Southern drawl, “…I looked across the room and saw this very tall guy and…I stared him down until, finally, he came and talked with me.  We danced all night, exchanged numbers…and the rest is history.”  That’s how you do it, Southern charm, beauty and confidence.  I don’t think he had a chance.

Lindsay’s laugh is contagious.  He is the quiet man to her bubbly, strong demeanor.  Eventually, Jason’s career returned him to Doylestown and they continued a long-distance relationship for a while.   But soon, Lindsay transplanted herself.  Good move.    They found mutual loves:  family, friends, the outdoors.   Jason is a cyclist and his races take them all over the Northeast.  Time away from work means finding museums, the zoo, and having dinner dates. These two impress me most with their love of life and action… and the way they really look at each other, listen…then Lindsay let’s out a big ‘ol laugh and Jason’s quieter laugh follows.  Beautiful.

Don’t be frightened.  This is He-Man.  Yes, he was part of the day; he is a part of their life.  I have to say, I’ve worked with animals, but never a cat.  Yes, it’s a cat.  (though Nancy thinks it’s a kind of a fluffy monkey – I’m somewhat inclined to agree).   He was the star of the shoot for a while.  When he wasn’t on his leash, he was in their arms, or hanging out in his carrier, contentedly watching the action.  (Nancy thinks he was “watching over them” – look at those eyes.  Do not mess with his mama!)   We all had so much fun because of this (cat) – including the way he let us know he was not happy to be left out of the action.  Suffice to say, when left in the car while we walked to another location he vocalized his dissatisfaction – honking the horn.  Too funny!

The last Saturday of March was planned to meet Matt and Kristen in Princeton for engagement photographs.  Though the day dawned damp and dreary, we forged ahead…and it was well worth it.  With a setting like Princeton University’s campus and Nassau Square combined with the laughter  of these two, it was perfection.

Matt and Kristen originally met at Trinity College in Hartford, then reconnected when Matt was living in Princeton and Kristen transferred there for her job.  Several years later…Princeton, revisited.  Residents of NYC now, they decided to combine a weekend trip to Matt’s hometown of Newtown with engagement photography in and around the campus at Princeton.

You wouldn’t know she was freezing.  Good sports, they laughed through the entire journey, even through a light drizzle and numb fingers and toes.

Thanks for braving the elements with us!  We can’t wait to share the rest of the photographs with you both, and we are really looking forward to spending time with you again in September for your Nantucket wedding.

“Please, enough.  Where is this Springtime I’ve heard of…?”  Soon, Baby G, soon.

If you know M, you know football is in his blood.  Evidently, he plays hard (and loves the mud!)  Mom and dad did a great job carrying the theme throughout Beat Street.  (a perfect place for kids to party!)Everything about Beat Street said, “Come on, let’s go…party!”

It was a great night – and I’m sure not one kid went home dry – everyone was in on the dancing and games!

Angelic.  She slept through the beginning.  Then, awakened.  I remember mine: they wake up hungry.Daddy’s girl already.  Ryan is a natural, soothing his daughter.We hung out for a while, and she calmed herself.  Or they calmed her…I love the way she is looking at them.  Another great day with Ryan and Dana and “Baby G” – thanks for having us!

The little one was more interested in chasing a soccer ball than joining in, but with the help of a color-coordinated binky, they got him to join in the family fun.  It’s always great when I photograph a family in their own home.  Although it was the middle of winter, the property was the perfect setting – I love walking around, searching for the right vignette and lighting.  Beautiful family, with the lovely Carmen surrounded by her men.
