Alyssa and Bruce were friends long, long before they imagined they would decide to spend the rest of their lives together. But isn’t that the best way to do it? Friends first. They knew each other so well, had basically grown up together. They were destined, it seems, to become engaged. Watching them walk and talk together, you see the friendship, the ease, the teasing, the love.
We took them to another ‘secret spot’ in Bucks County. Just two days before the hurricane swept the east coast, we were able to wander this property with them. Cloudy sky, bright future? Something like that…. Alyssa and Bruce are Bucks County people, and wanted their engagement photography in a location that embodies this place. We found it.
Alyssa has great style, so we had no worries about what she would wear. The dress and boots in the great outdoors? Perfect. He’s not so bad, either! Love the deep red against the fall backdrop.
These two were so much fun – relaxed and willing, just the way we like it! After a few traditional shots, we moved to this field to use the stormy sky as a backdrop. Actually, just before this, two deer leaped out of the brush right in front of us. Guess we were on their turf. Seeing that: awesome.
What I loved most about Alyssa and Bruce was their ability to engage with each other and just forget about us. You see it here, my two favorites of the day. Gorgeous.
End of the light, end of the afternoon. The beginning for them.
We can’t wait to spend your wedding day with you next September!
